Parking is free this year at the Alaska State Fair
The weather is unseasonably terrific, (not raining!) and general fair parking is free. Friday at 6 pm, pro wrestling features Anchorage-based “907 Pro Wrestling,” with homegrown and world performers. Saturday and Sunday’s Lithia Ram Timed Event Championships Rodeo: is at 2 p.m.

Wildfire firefighter gone missing
A member of an Oregon-based wildland firefighting crew was been reported missing by the Alaska Department of Natural Resource’s Division of Forestry and Fire Protection. The disappearance of 51-year-old Saudith Rendon occurred in the area of the ongoing Lost Horse Creek fire located north of Fairbanks.
Update: The firefighter was found and taken to the hospital.
