Naked politics of 'Get Trump'
Meanwhile, in Juneau, public testimony on parents' rights vs. teachers' rights
Good morning from Somewhere in Alaska!
It’s election season in Alaska’s biggest city. Seen somewhere in Anchorage, a car with a spicy opinion about Spicy Gato, aka Assemblyman Felix Rivera.
‘Get Trump’ jumps the shark in Manhattan
Emblematic of the decay of democracy is that CNN and the New York Times broke the story about the Trump indictment hours before the indictment was released, demonstrating the collusion between Deep State and Deep Media.
It was not until 7:15 pm that Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg made it official: "This evening we contacted Mr. Trump’s attorney to coordinate his surrender to the Manhattan D.A.'s Office for arraignment on a Supreme Court indictment, which remains under seal. Guidance will be provided when the arraignment date is selected."
The naked politicization of the “get Trump” campaign continues.
Hot take from Rep. Nancy Pelosi: “No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence.” From the burden of proof of guilt resting with the crown to: You are presumed guilty until you prove your innocence.
Reaction from Stormy Daniels: “I have so many messages coming in that I can't respond...also don’t want to spill my champagne … merch/autograph orders are pouring in, too! Thank you for that as well but allow a few extra days for shipment.”
Anchorage Daily News goes after conservative candidate in last-minute attack
The newspaper ignores his opponent’s obvious financial conflicts of interest. Perhaps the newspaper has its own conflict of interest with Agnew Beck. Predictable, ADN, so predictable.
Four days left to vote in Anchorage
We are hearing from several voters who say their signatures were not accepted on their ballots. This should concern voters, and we’ll be asking the Clerk for an accounting of how many rejected signatures there have been.
All the information you need to get your ballot in is at this link.

Legislature passes resolution for wood-burning stoves in Fairbanks
A resolution sends a message to the EPA that Alaskans are not willing to freeze to death.
Planned Parenthood voter guide
Planned Parenthood has a voter guide that tells voters everything they need to know about the candidates in Anchorage. It is all about LGBTQ, not budgets, not taxes, not crime. They just want you to vote the LGBTQ issue because in this age, this is the only issue that matters to the Left.
Sullivan reintroduces sanctions on China
Intelligence experts say that China is setting up to invade Taiwan by 2027. If China does, Sen. Sullivan says there should be instant economic consequences.
PFD deadline is Friday at 11:59 pm
Have you filed for your dividend? Today is the last day. Here’s the link.
Public testimony on parents’ bill of rights
The House Education Committee heard from the public on Thursday evening. The majority of testifiers were opposed to the parents’ bill of rights, saying that trans and queer children need their protection from their abusive parents and are entitled to special relationships with teachers who will use different names or pronouns with them and keep information hidden from their horrible parents. Several teachers spoke in favor of keeping secrets from parents, parents who were repeatedly characterized as dangerous to the LGBTQ children. Only teachers are safe for children, these testifiers said.
Where were the other voices?
The Left can’t figure out why very few testified in favor of the bill. Could it be that conservatives just don’t want to be killed or have their children killed? Tense times as we head into Trans Day of Vengeance weekend.
The rest of the Family Partnership Charter School story
Reporter David Boyle dug deeper into the dispute that has erupted at a popular charter school and found new information to add to his first report.
Arctic Encounter Symposium’s final day
Sen. Lisa Murkowski will keynote the final day of the three-day event that has brought all kinds of luminaries to the Dena’ina Convention Center this week. The Arctic Encounter’s seventh gathering finally made it to Alaska, after being mainly a Seattle event since its beginning in 2017.
The event has drawn diplomats, educators, fellows, and politicos from across the globe in the past. This year, it is decidedly Alaska-centric. Missing from the speaker list, however, are Sen. Dan Sullivan, Gov. Mike Dunleavy, and other conservative voices, such as former Gov. Sean Parnell, now chancellor at University of Alaska Anchorage and clearly a subject expert. Mayor Dave Bronson, however, is on the list of speakers, as are a couple of other northern Alaska mayors. Speaker list and agenda at this link.
