Peltola on Biden: He will lose by a landslide in Alaska and her opinion about him ‘is irrelevant’
Peltola does the “walk away” from the “smartest, sharpest” person she has met in D.C. He’s on his own. And yes, she says he is going to lose in a landslide, but what she thinks doesn’t mater. That may be the last newspaper interview her campaign allows her to do.

Mayor LaFrance to cut bus service in Anchorage
This might be a good thing, Madam Mayor. The buses are nearly empty anyway. It’s an outdated model. Mayor Bronson could never have gotten away with this but you can.

The change to twice a week was scheduled to happen last month, but there was a ransomware attack on the newspaper’s system, so the conversion was delayed. More later today at www.mustreadalaska.com

Rep. Tom Emmer in Juneau
Congressman Tom Emmer of Minnesota was in Juneau to visit an old classmate from UAF days, (Chris Wallace) and he was speaking to a business group, when he was asked if Nick Begich comes in second in the primary and Nancy Dahlstrom comes in third, what is going to happen with the NRCC endorsement? Emmer said whichever Republican comes out of the primary, Trump is going to be there for that Republican. Trump wants to win. “The people of Alaska are going to decide who their congressman is." The D.C. elite is not going to decide, he said.
Emmer is House majority whip and conservative. While visiting Juneau, he spent time talking with Democrat State Sen. Jesse Kiehl and Rep. Sara Hannan. Emmer knew Hannan from the time when they were both students at UAF. The two Democrats fawned all over Emmer, in uncharacteristic graciousness. Hannan is a delegate to the Democrat convention in Chicago next month.
Emmer didn’t appear to have Dahlstrom on his dance card, however, even though he was in state for a full week.
