Sunday, set clocks back an hour
The return to Standard Time is this weekend, when clocks set back an hour until March’s return to Daylight Time.
The old-fashioned setting of the clocks before bed on Saturday is almost a relic of past generations, since electronics now run on their own without much help from humans. You might have to set your stove clock back, (and your grandfather clock,) but your phones and computers set themselves. Children of this generation get their time changes spoon-fed by the cloud.
The effect of all this is very much felt by humans, especially in Alaska, where we are losing 5-10 minutes of daylight anyway at this time of year, as it’s springtime in Australia.
For example, in Kotzebue today, the sun rises at 9:32 am and sets at 5:52 pm. On Sunday, it will rise at 8:38 am and set at 4:47 pm.
In Juneau, the run rises today at 8:17 am and sets at 5:03 pm. On Sunday, it will be peeking over the horizon at 7:22 am, and gone at 3:59 pm.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. The two men had long rap sheets, but that all ended and no more trips to jail for them after they pulled guns on law enforcement.
Peltola defends Hamas sympathizer Rep. Rashida Tlaib
The Alaska Democrat voted against the censure of Jew-hating Rep. Tlaib, but Peltola votes to expel Rep. Santos, a Republican who has not even been convicted of corruption. Is that what she means by bipartisan?

The reprobate representative stuck with Rep. Rashida Tlaib and the Squad in voting against America’s one true ally in the Middle East.
Juneau renames portion of Seward Street as ‘Heritage Way’
It’s all part of reclaiming tribal roots of the area, (and erasing the other heritages of the area), but at least it is pronounceable, unlike some other efforts.
