Summer salad luncheon with AWRC in Anchorage
The popular Anchorage Republican Women’s Club get-together was attended by over 75 people this year, including Carmela Warfield, who is the chairwoman of the Alaska Republican Party. No sign of the governor, though. Nor Sen. Dan Sullivan. Sen. Lisa Murkowski doesn’t ever attend any Republican events. But both congressional candidates Nick Begich and Nancy Dahlstrom were there. There was polite applause for Nancy and whoops and applause for Nick. The club’s position is that Trump should stay out of the Alaska congressional race and let Alaskans decide. Dahlstrom is a member of the club.

Manhattan DA drops charges against Columbia University students
There really are two systems of justice — one for spoiled students at Columbia University and one for Donald Trump. 30 students who broke in and occupied Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall won’t face charges. District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who brought the 34 felony charges against Trump, said the students had no prior criminal history, so he didn’t want to charge them with criminal trespass.

Climate activists paint Stonehenge orange
They’ve vandalized Van Gogh’s, the Vatican, now Stonehenge. And, shock, Taylor Switf’s private jet. Who funds them? Read this.

Everywhere in the state, businesses are already paying far above the minimum wage. What gives with this initiative? It’s all about driving a certain voter out to the polls.
Nolan Willis: Emissions reduction or self-flagellation
The new climate religion explained: In this religion, we have sin (greenhouse gas emissions), judgment (a future where Mother Nature exacts revenge), and penance (decarbonization). Unfortunately, this new religion lacks a salvation plan but offers an elusive path toward “greater harmony with nature.” None of this appears scientific or even logical. In fact, it seems pantheistic.

The idea that there is some "park value" that excludes the American flag is just something made up by some government functionary. It's an example of overreach.
