Republicans head into district conventions, caucus season

Republicans in Alaska vote on Super Tuesday

Homer district convention at Land’s End Resort
The first of the Alaska GOP district conventions took place in Homer on Saturday. Among those attending were three candidates for Alaska GOP chair: Nikki Rose, Carmela Warfield, and Mike Robbins. Also speaking to the group was Republican congressional candidate Nick Begich.
Monday’s district convention takes place in Eagle River, and Nick Begich and the other Republican candidate Nancy Dahlstrom are expected to give presentations.
