Good morning from Somewhere in Alaska!
Donald Trump spoke to supporters at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night after his historic arraignment in Manhattan.
Trump speaks to the faithful
Donald Trump, in a serious, almost somber mood after a long day in Manhattan, listed the endless legal fights with Democrats during his remarks at Mar-a-Lago. Say what you will, but the Donald is living a most historic life as a disruptor of the Deep State.

Election news
It’s all over but the shouting for Anchorage. Who won? It was not the mayor’s candidates. Taxpayer should batten down the hatches.
Chicago went left, Wisconsin went pro-abortion
In Chicago, union organizer Brandon Johnson won over Paul Vallas as the city continues its pro-crime legacy. In Wisconsin, Janet Protasiewicz, a leftist Milwaukee judge, defeated Daniel Kelly, a conservative former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice, in the Supreme Court race (odd how they do that), signaling pro-abortion sentiments, and sending a strong message: It is unlikely the next president can win without Wisconsin.

Alaska Operating budget
Over 50 amendments have been debated and voted on in the House over the past couple of days. Under the experienced leadership of Speaker Cathy Tilton, the proceedings are civil and organized and there is no insulting of members, as took place under the former speaker Rep. Louise Stutes. It’s really a night-and-day difference in terms of respect for the institution.
Most of the amendments are going down after calm and measured debate. There may be an 11% one-time increase for education, but probably no chance for a permanent hike to the Base Student Allocation formula. Already, this operating budget is over $500 million in the red.

The first cruise ship of the season will arrive in Juneau on April 17, and it’s a big one: the Norwegian Bliss. She can carry 4,900 passengers, although she won’t be at full capacity as she sails from Seattle on April 15.
This will be an epic season for cruising to Alaska, one of the biggest in history. Check out the cruise ship calendar for all ports of call from Cruise Line Agency of Alaska at this link.
Juneau: For the love of all things holy, you have 12 days to clean up the downtown area, which is looking rougher than it’s ever looked and smelling like pot, urine, and beer, if we’re being honest.
