Peltola crosses picket line, criticizes Hilton Hotel
Rep. Mary Peltola spent most of her commentary about the North Pacific Fisheries Management Council (NPFMC) meeting by wading into the union dispute at the Hilton Hotel in Anchorage:
“Thank you to all the Alaskans who took the time to share your thoughts on fisheries with me during the recent NMFS meeting in Anchorage. I always want to hear the experiences of actual fishermen while these issues are being debated. But I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention that we all had to cross a picket line to get here to chat with you all. While I touched base with workers before the meeting – and appreciate their support on the issues that matter to Alaska fisherman – it’s important to share that workers in this hotel have been fighting for affordable healthcare, safe workloads, job security and reasonable wage increases for the last decade and a half. Just as I believe that it’s time for you all to have your voices heard by institutions of power, I also believe that the workers running this hotel deserve to be heard as well.”

We need to abolish the election machines, go to hand count by volunteers from local parties, paper ballots, voter ID, voting in person on voting day, voting in our local precinct. Exceptions should be rare. No mail in voting except for valid reasons. We must take back our local , statewide, and national elections .
