Edge of Alaska: A fence in middle of town
A saloon owner blocked off the street so patrons could go back and forth between the saloon on one side of Barrett Way and a lot he owned on the other side. The town was not happy. It opened up some old wounds, luckily there were no new wounds, but it might make a good episode of Edge of Alaska.

Update: The hearing attracted a few comments on Tuesday. Among them — young people really want to buy houses in Anchorage, and people who have been around for a while are wondering where all the snow will go once the city starts packing in the density. For some neighborhoods, there’s already no place to put snow. Zoning done in July may not work in January in snow city.
