Rep. Mary Peltola wants to tax oilfield workers , plumbers, pipefitters, commercial fishermen, Native Corporation employees, and other Alaskans who make more than $168,600 a year. She wants workers to save the Social Security pyramid scheme. There's never enough tax money for big Democrat spenders. But maybe Alaska workforce is OK with paying over 7% more in order to only close maybe a third of the Social Security gap.
