Sen. Sullivan's hunt to remember

Good morning from Somewhere in Alaska!
Sen. Sullivan bags a brownie
Grizzly hunting in Kodiak recently, U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan found his bear, and it was a biggie. This is a photo from the screen at the Safari Club International banquet in Anchorage this weekend, where Sullivan was the invited speaker. Here’s what he told the group of Alaska hunters:
“As John [Sturgeon] said, he and I and our good friend, SCI Kenai President, Ted Spraker were recently on an epic hunt together on Kodiak. Reconnecting with the land, and the incredible wildlife - big brown bears, huge Roosevelt elk, deer, Fox, everywhere - and the stunning majesty of our Alaska lands - with times of solitude, laughter, and adventure - it reminded me of why hunting is about so much more than just the harvesting of big game.”
Later, we learned that’s a 9-1/2-foot brown bear. If you’re going to go bear hunting, you’re in good company with friends who are legendary hunters, like John Sturgeon and Ted Spraker, (just sayin’.)

It’s rocket science! Alaska’s Pacific Dataport set to launch today
It’s the first micro-geo satellite in the world, all of 800 pounds of it, and this one is for rural Alaska. Above, an exclusive photo of the rocket on the launchpad this morning at Cape Canaveral, with the satellite under the payload fairing at the top of the rocket. This is an exciting day for an Alaska broadband company. Our story has links to livestream launch at Cape Canaveral.
Tucker Carlson gets deplatformed by Fox News
It happened quite suddenly over the weekend, but Carlson has been increasingly outspoken about all mainstream media, including Fox News.
Don Lemon out at CNN
Within minutes of Carlson being fired from Fox, Lemon is fire. After 17 years, he follows Brian Stelzer and Chris Cuomo out the door.

Biden slaps at GOP; RNC launches counter attack
Arguably the weakest president in history can barely walk or put a sentence together, but the campaign video shows his best side. Other videos show how bad it really is.
Biden to parents: Your children are not your children
They belong to the nation,Biden told the nation’s teachers. That means they belong to the government and to teachers. This is the second year he has used this Maoist concept when speaking to the nation’s teachers. He is reinforcing a concept that is playing out in state-level transgender policies, where children can be taken from their parents if they want to “transition,” because parents who oppose transition are now considered child abusers. We’re talking to you, Washington State.
Peninsula-Clarion to print twice a week only
Will there be any newspapers in 10 years? The Peninsula-Clarion, in a life-saving move, goes to just two print editions a week next month — and they’ll be printed out of state, which will make it even more difficult to keep relevant.
Ruffridge votes with Democrats to allow men in women’s bathrooms
The folks on the Kenai were shocked to learn this, and his Republican colleagues in Juneau are horrified at Ruffridge switch to supporting what is in essence a pro-stalking bill.
Now, surely Ruffridge is going to argue that this is about discriminating against gays and trans folks in real estate, but you have to go back to the original statute to see what the bill is really doing. It is about all accommodations. And that means bathrooms and lockers. When this whole thing ends up in a courtroom, the sponsor intent will be entered as evidence. It may be that Ruffridge just hasn’t done his homework or perhaps he is just that closet Democrat that his critics say he is.
Supreme Court says climate change lawsuits will stay in state courts
Oil companies wanted the dozens of climate change lawsuits to move to federal courts, where they felt they would have a more fair playing field. The local state courts can be very anti-business and oil companies are not warm and fuzzy entities, beloved by all. The Supremes said no thanks to the offer. Why did they refuse?
HB 105: Parents are awakened to support their rights in education
This is the bill that has brought out opposition from gays, trans, and teachers. But a lot of the opposition was cut-and-paste from Planned Parenthood boilerplate. The numbers, so far, show that support for HB 105, the Parents’ Rights in Education Act, outweighs the opposition.

Peltola purges another Republican from her staff
Now there is just Josh Revak, lone Republican. Remember when the media was all abuzz and lauded Peltola for being bipartisan? That was for show, Alaska. One by one, the Republicans are being replaced.

Kiosks, which were so modern just a couple years ago, are being removed from the major airports served by Alaska Airlines. Everyone is being asked to buy a smart phone and download the airline app.

Republicans want this Green New Deal stuff made at home, and see the dependency on PRC as a national security threat.
