Judge warns Trump that jail could be next
On Monday, Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan told former President Donald Trump that he will send him to jail if he continues to violate the gag order imposed on the Stormy Daniels “hush money” trial in New York. It was Trump’s 10th violation.
“It appears that the $1,000 fines are not serving as a deterrent. Going forward, this court will have to consider a jail sanction,” Merchan said.

Sullivan at Great Alaska Aviation Gathering
Sen. Dan Sullivan was a speaker at the Great Alaska Aviation Gathering on Saturday, which also featured skydivers, water bombing demonstrations by the Division of Forestry, a STOL event (short takeoff and landing), and live music at the Palmer Airport. Who won the raffle for the experimental PA-18 Super Cub?
Alaska has the most licensed pilots per capita than any state in the union, and the Alaska Airmen's Association has over 2,000 members, making it one of the largest general aviation communities in the country. Many of them are readers and supporters of MRAK. We appreciate you!

Rob Yundt fundraiser at Chop House
Running for Senate, Wasilla’s Rob Yundt drew a good 150 people to his fundraiser in the Valley. Spotted at the Chop House were Assemblywoman Dee McKee, former Assemblyman George McKee, School Board members Kathy McCollum and Kendal Kruse, and Region 2 GOP Rep. Ron Johnson. Also Borough Mayor Edna DeVries. They brought in a bouncy house for the kids to play in outside. There were a lot of younger people in attendance, many from the business community. Yundt told the room he will not join a Democrat-dominated coalition if he is elected to the Senate.
Murkowski introduces menopause research bill
Apparently Halle Berry is the person behind this push for menopause research. She, of course, has endorsed Joe Biden. (How much of it will be misappropriated to transgender menopause study?)
Not so fast: Dunleavy appeals to Alaska Supreme Court, requests postponement of Alaska judge’s ruling against funding correspondence
The fire set off by the NEA-Alaska is starting to build heat. There will be an Alaska Supreme Court appeal. Then a U.S Supreme Court case, no doubt.

Alaska Permanent Fund says it is reviewing possible conflicts of interest
Damage control reaction
Ellie Rubenstein’s PR representative sent a statement from Ellie: “Serving on the Board of Trustees for the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation is a great honor. This position has allowed me to serve my home state by bringing private sector investment expertise and perspectives to the Permanent Fund Corporation. Introducing and connecting Permanent Fund Staff to investment firms so that they can explore opportunities is an appropriate and valuable role and is common practice among state pension boards, endowments, and sovereign wealth funds. In this role, I have always followed the Permanent Fund Board’s ethics rules and disclosure requirements, and I was unaware of these concerns about my service on the Board. That someone leaked internal messages containing confidential information to the media is disturbing; it is a breach of policy and trust, and it distracts from the important work the Permanent Fund Trustees and Staff are doing for the State of Alaska.”
Meanwhile, the Anchorage Daily News wrote an unusually stinging editorial, although its newsroom had not even yet written a story about the Rubenstein interference issue. This story is still owned by the Alaska Landmine, a blog that got access to a number of curious emails between Rubenstein and the staff of the Permanent Fund. But at some point, the Wall Street Journal will probably come poking around.
